Wallpaper Wendy Card Set

Course: Visual Voice
Date: Fall 2020
Goal: To design a cohesive set of cards that expresses an aspect of my past.

Wallpaper Wendy is designed as both a personal exploration of the wallpapers in my grandmother’s house, and also as a fun game for children.

I wanted to tell stories about the many wallpapers in my grandmother’s home, as well as make a statement about how women were seen as a part of the home in the 50s and 60s.

Visually, I drew from the idea of paper dolls, the implication being that various household appliances can be applied to the figure of the woman, and the wallpaper can become her dress.
